Take Your Cell Phone to the Next Level
Congrats you’ve got the latest cell phone. You plunked down $300 (hopefully less) and now you’re the envy of every nerd on your block. Well, probably not. Because every other guy/gal with expendable income has the same phone. How do you stand apart and not look like a total wannabe? Here are a few ideas of things you can do to stand out from the crowd:
An Awesome New Case. What an easy way to protect your brand new cell phone but with a case? And if you’re smart you can find one that looks good. Black pleather is a thing of the past. You can step up now and get something as nice looking as a pink purse for your Razr.
Tattoos. True, they’re glorified stickers but they make your cell phone look like some limited edition model no one’s ever seen before. Go ahead, cover your Samsung t629 with flames. Make your Motorola SLVR look like a Star Trek tricorder. No one will accuse you of being boring.
Bluetooth Headset. Look cool and schizophrenic at the same time. You can choose to keep your cell phone in your pocket (good if you have a boring looking phone) or show off both your cell phone and headset at the same time. There are models out there that make you look like a robot and ones that are quite stylish and cool. It’s up to you what route you want to go.
Memory Card. Sure your cell phone will look the same from the outside but with a 2GB card in it you can be listening to music or watching movies on the go. What better way to stand out than watching The Matrix on your phone?
Bluetooth GPS. By keeping a small bluetooth GPS receiver in your pocket you can dazzle your friends by navigating using your cell phone to give directions. There are lots of great systems from Garmin and Tomtom. One warning, you might need some extra memory to hold all the maps.

Nice list. I see the same type of people every day walking into my office. Ok, funny story. I’m standing in line waiting to order some food the other day. A group of guys are in front of me. All three had bluetooth headsets. All three talking to someone.
It’s their turn to order and they all three, simultaneously hold up a finger to the guy at the counter. I said very loud; I don’t think so. Order or get the hell out of the way, and walked passed them. They all looked at me like I was crazy. Me?
